Dusty Toy Update
I tried a little dog psychology and put Dusty's toy basket in the living room. She now takes the toys out but doesn't bring them into the TV room, they just stay in the living room. So I guess it is just her way of having a safe place. The living room still looks like a dog toy debris field. We're happy.

The Perfect Day and a near brush with Death
The first thing I noticed this morning was the kitchen windows needed to be washed so I could enjoy my yard. I washed the windows and then noticed the pavers needed a little sprucing up, I got the broom and the Oxy clean out and from there it was a trip to Home Depot with Mom. She bought me 3 plants, potting mix, cactus mix, a bag of rocks and a Partridge in a pear tree . Not really. Then home to plant everything and re plant and water And just in time a visit from Debbie Allen gave me the perfect reason to stop and enjoy some lemonade and Chocolate Chip cookies. The Perfect Day.
. "This spider's bite is much feared because its venom is reported to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake's. In humans, bites produce muscle aches, nausea, and a paralysis of the diaphragm that can make breathing difficult; however, contrary to popular belief, most people who are bitten suffer no serious damage—let alone death." Of course I had to Google this! While I was re potting a cactus out crawled a Big Black Widow. I guess she didn't like the fact that a squirted water on her. An Almost Near Brush with Death.

BINGO
One of the many things that John does that lets me know I did a few good things in raising him. On Friday's he has been going with his grandma to the local Senior Center to play B I N G O. I think BINGO is boring, but John likes to play and I think all the people are so nice there. You only have to be 18 to play and it gets him out of the house during the day. John has also been going over to my Mom's once a week to see if there is anything that she needs his help with and he sincerely wants to do it. It isn't something I have to make him do, although at the beginning he couldn't understand why. But now he knows that grandma can't do everything, like lifting and like anyone else it helps him to feel the valued and she appreciates it. I want this to translate over to me and my house, but we are still working on that. John is awesome.

Bue Jar Water
I couldn't get this to go upright , so turn your head to the left for the effect
I have been having problems with the video so maybe this time will work.
I have learned that I can do anything that I need to do, it's just having the correct tools and figuring how to to it. The part that is the most difficult for me is anything that requires strength, like gripping strength for the PVC pipe cutter thingy. Case in point,Install a "water" feature that had the water storage bin below the surface about 8 inches. Of course the spot had PVC pipe from a sprinkler system that never worked and all 4 pipes were right where I want to set the Blue Jar...

Recyle:Rebuy. A true story.
Let me go back to Christmas when I made cookies with a Pampered Chef cookie press. I bought it on line used so not a big expense. My friend Sherry loves hers and uses it at Christmas to make those cute Christmas Tree and Snow flake cookies, you get the idea. When I got the press I called Sherry and got the recipe that she uses, which is the recipe her Mom used, Crisco shortening and all. I made my first batch, green Christmas trees, cute if I do say so myself. I washed the press our and put it back into the CARDBOARD box and set in on the washer in the service porch because I was planning on baking again in a few days.
Monday came and I said to John don't forget to take out the trash and the recycling in the service porch. There are some CARDBOARD boxes (pizza, cereal). He did his job. So Wednesday night I thought I would whip up another batch of those cookies. So I went to the washer (Norwalk=Service Porch off the kitchen) and couldn't find the box with the cookie press. Yes John threw it out, trash had already been picked up. I just laughed and took it as a sign that maybe I shouldn't bake anymore.
So today I was killing time while Dusty at the Doggie Spa getting cleaned up and what did I find at the Goodwill!? You guessed it, another Pampered Chef Cookie press with all the disc and instructions for $4.99. I don't think I will wait for Christmas, maybe something green for St Patty's Day. I took it as a sign.
